Asia Cup: Watch Pakistan vs Bangladesh semifinal game live on a big screen in Oman

Muscat: The Asia Cup semifinal match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be telecast live on a big screen at the Pakistan Social Club (PSC) on Wednesday.
The match begins at 3:30 pm. PSC general secretary Mohammad Zaeem said that they have been screening Pakistan’s matches throughout the series, but were especially excited about their country’s final four match.
Zaeem said that these screenings were a great way for the community to come together and cheer their team.
“Not everyone can afford a cable connection. There are many blue collar Pakistani workers who have to come down to the club if they want to watch the match. There are others who like to watch the match in the company of their friends.
“On the weekends, lots of people come down to watch matches. It’s a full house. But on the weekdays, it’s a little different. When the match starts at 3:30, hardly anyone’s here. It’s just us club members. By 5:00 pm or so, more people start trickling in as their work day ends. By and large, fans have been very enthusiastic,” the PSC general secretary remarked.
He added that Pakistanis were hopeful that their team would take home the cup, despite the two losses to arch rivals India.
“It’s not over till it’s over. We will see how its plays out. We still have a chance to win two matches in a row and win the tournament,” he said.
Zaeem added: “We usually screen Pakistan’s limited over matches and people are generally enthusiastic about that. Our telecast of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was well received. T20 is very popular among Pakistani cricket fans.”
