At least 12 injured in Vienna explosion

Muscat: At least 12 people have been injured in a presumed gas explosion that rocked the Austrian capital Vienna this evening.
A statement by local police read: "A (presumably gas) explosion occurred at Pressgasse in Vienna at 16:30 (Vienna time). Multiple floors of the affected building have been damaged. Police, rescue service and ambulance are at the scene."
Originally, four people had been heavily injured by the blast, which affected Pressgasse number 3, a building with 22 different apartments and 42 people registered as residents. However, the latest statement from Vienna read: "The number of heavily injured has decreased to two people and 10 people are now classified as lightly injured."
The police has asked for no images of the victims to be shared on social media, and for residents of the area to follow police directives when driving around the area, as other streets have been affected by the blast.
