Customs in Oman foils several smuggling attempts

Omani border security has foiled several attempts to smuggle drugs and alcoholic beverages through various parts of the country.

According to Oman Customs, officers at Muscat International Airport seized more than 2,400 psychotropic tablets and 2.6 kilograms of Marijuana.

Meanwhile, in the ports of Musandam, North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi, customs officers foiled a number of smuggling operations as well.

Also, the Department of Investigation and Risk Assessment in Muscat confiscated several bottles of wine, illegal cigarettes and chewable tobacco.
