British School Muscat conferred world class learning award

Muscat: British School Muscat has been confirmed as only the third international school to gain the High-Performance Learning (HPL) World Class School Award.
Professor Deborah Eyre, HPL’s Founder and CEO, said: “I am absolutely delighted to confer HPL World Class Award status upon British School Muscat. British School Muscat’s commitment to embedding HPL as part of the school’s DNA, is delivering even greater gains for their students. Not only are they achieving even more highly, year on year, but they are leading their own learning and really getting the most out of their school experience. I have no doubt they will leave British School Muscat ready for college, career and life.”
The High-Performance Learning (HPL) World Class School Award recognises the very best schools in the world and is designed for those at the forefront of educational thinking.
They have teaching and learning at their heart and are committed to moving from some students achieving well to all students learning at high levels.
Schools that have undertaken HPL’s rigorous 2-year World Class School Award scheme have met demanding standards and have transformed the way they function.
They have changed attitudes and practices amongst staff, students and parents and see that translated into better results and outcomes for their students. When the HPL philosophy and framework is fully embraced, the effect is transformational.
British School Muscat Principal Kai Vacher said: “We are delighted to be only the third international school in the world to be accredited with this status. Our whole school community has embraced the philosophy and language of High-Performance Learning to develop our approach to teaching and learning. It is hard to imagine British School Muscat without it now.”
