Vehicle seized for transporting foodstuffs in direct sunlight

Muscat: Muscat Municipality has seized a vehicle for transporting and distributing foodstuffs in direct sunlight.

In a statement issued on Saturday. Muscat Municipality said: "Municipal authority in Matrah Al Ghubra represented by the Food Control Department has ceased an unlicensed vehicle transporting and distributing foodstuffs under direct sunlight, without taking into account special temperature requirements for the storage and transport of foodstuffs."

"Muscat Municipality calls for the importance of complying with the health requirements of food transport and distribution vehicles, with an emphasis on appropriate temperatures when transporting or keeping any kind of food and beverage.
