Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has pardoned 17 Indian nationals serving sentences in Oman.

In a statement, the Indian Embassy in Oman said: “Royal Pardon given to 17 Indian Nationals serving sentences in Oman by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. Government of India appreciates this compassionate gesture from a friendly country.”
