Dhank to get dual carriageway

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport and Communication has announced plans to contract a company to build a dual carriageway road at Dhank, al Dhahirah.

The road is expected to ease the flow of traffic moving in and out of the Wilayat and to also boost the number of visitors.

An announcement by the Ministry read: "The Internal Tender Committee at the Ministry of Transport and Communication in Al Khuwair invites [companies] for the following tender: The construction of a dual carriageway road at Dhank."

The tender document for the project costs OMR1400, according to the announcement.

Interested companies will submit their offers for the project on July 17, 2019.

The announcement also included a tender to build a single carriageway road connecting Adam Air Base to the Adam-Haima-Thumrait road.
