Muscat: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has pledged to punish those who have looted the country.

The current ruling party of Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Insaaf, has issued a special video message in which Khan promises to bring justice to Pakistan.

"Don't try to blackmail me that I will lose the government; this government is a very small thing, even if I lose my life I won't spare these thugs, this is my promise to my nation. I won't spare those who looted Pakistan!," Khan says in the video.

In a tweet, Khan said, "Time for the nation to stop glorifying money launderers who have damaged our nation and impoverished our people and are now seeking refuge behind 'democracy'. No protocol should be extended to them. Where are plunderers of public wealth given such special treatment? Time to treat them as criminals."
