Haya Water appoints AbdulQawi in senior position

Msucat: Haya Water, recently appointed Eng. AbdulQawi Al Yafai as General Manager of Operation and Maintenance. Al Yafai, who has more than 25 years of practical experience, started his career in 1991 in the Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO).
In 2005, he continued his work journey and joined the Oman Gas Company and worked there for 11 years in several positions such as Operations Supervisor, Senior Operation Support Engineer, Regional Manager on different locations and finally as South Asset Manager in 2014.
In 2016, AbdulQawi took another challenge when he joined Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production (OOCEP) as Field Operations Manager at Block60.
Commenting on this appointment, Eng. Hussain bin Hassan AbdulHussain, Haya Water’s CEO, said that Eng AbdulQawi’s appointment comes is part of the company’s continuous efforts to empower Omanis to be part of the top management team. As a result of the company’s exerted efforts to Omanise either in top or in middle positions are coming into fruition.
Eng. Hussain added: “I congratulate AbdulQawi on this appointment and I wish him success alongside his colleagues in the company’s leadership team. Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Operation and Maintenance ex-General Manager Eng Mahmoud Abu Al Saud, for his great efforts over the past years. As a result of which the Company has witnessed a distinguished leap.”

His expertise and qualifications will help to translate the company’s vision, mission and strategies to cover all the governorates except Dhofar with the waste water services based on the company’s plans and approved financial appropriations,” CEO stated.

Eng AbdulQawi holds a master degree in Process Engineering Management MSc from London Brunel University.
