Over 40 children undergo open heart surgeries in two weeks at Royal Hospital

Muscat: A total of 41 children have undergone successful open heart surgeries at the Royal Hospital, authorities have announced.

The surgeries, officials said, were part of a two-week open heart surgery initiative - Accelerated Heart Cycle Programme for Children.

In a statement online, officials said, “The National Heart and Cardiology Centre at the Royal Hospital successfully conducted 41 open heart operations for children within a two-week Accelerated Heart Cycle Programme for Children.”
