Municipality raids illegal kitchen run by expats

A house that was being used to prepare food for commercial sale has been raided by Muscat Municipality.

Officials also said that food was being prepared in unhygienic conditions.

"Muscat Municipality in Al Seeb, in coordination with the Public Prosecution, raided a house that was being used by expat workers as a place to prepare meals in commercial quantities in unhygienic conditions.” - Muscat Municipality.

The officials added that the food was sold to cafes and restaurants, adding that legal action would be taken.
