He pointed out that the national production, which is estimated at about 30,000 tonnes covering about 90 per cent of the domestic production and therefore this production is very large with high specifications and serves the sector effectively and thus these products are present in the local market in partnership and cooperation with the company has produced good results.
Announcement in January
He pointed out that it is planned to establish a marketing company for agricultural products in the future where the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will conduct feasibility studies and there is a list of projects, especially that during investment forum in January a large group of companies and institutions will be announced.
For his part, Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Oufi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, said that the importance of this conference is that it is held in the Sultanate for the first time and discusses fertilisers which enters two processes: food security and the second is related to the power sector and the two topics discuss the production of fertilisers, which need power.
He said in a press statement that the presence of such a conference in the Sultanate reflects the interest of the Sultanate and the Gulf countries and the world to the issue of food security and as a result of using fertilisers to ensure food security, the number is increasing.
The conference highlights the key role of fertilisers in ensuring food security and high demand for nutrition, promoting regional innovations in agriculture and discussing key trade trends.
