US embassy participates in beach clean-up drive

Muscat: In celebration of International Coastal Clean-up Day, the US Embassy in Muscat has participated in cleaning up a beach in the Sultanate.
The embassy teamed up with Clean-Up Oman and Be’ah to help clean rubbish off Al Seeb beach on Saturday, September 15.
U.S. Ambassador Marc J. Sievers and Deputy Chief of Mission Stephanie L. Hallett joined 270 volunteers of all ages and nationalities.
At the start of the event, Ambassador Sievers welcomed and thanked participants for helping to raise awareness about coastal conservation. Several passersby also took part in the beach clean-up.
