No Omanis injured in Australia earthquake: Ministry

Muscat: Authorities in Oman have assured the public that an earthquake off the coast of Australia did not affect any Omani students.
The Ministry of Higher Education said in a statement, "H.E. Dr. Hamood al Wardi, Consul of Oman in Australia, has assured us that there has been no news of our children, the Omani scholarship holders in Australia, being harmed after a 5.6 grade earthquake struck 10 km off the coast of Western Australia.
"His Excellency said that the earthquake was minor enough that very few students would have felt it to begin with. Despite this, the consulate has directed any students in Western Australia to take caution and to stay away from vulnerable areas."
