1,000 lives saved in Oman this year thanks to blood donations

Muscat: Blood donations from the general public have helped save 1,000 in 2018 so far.

The Oman Blood Donors group and the Road Safety Association said in a joint statement online, "Our goal in 2018 was to save 1,000 lives. We have achieved this goal, and are now hoping to save 3,000 people by the end of 2018."

The groups also urged people to continue donating blood, adding, "Every donation can save three people."
