Indian School students in Oman raise funds for Kerala flood relief

Muscat: The students of Indian School Al Ghubra organised a bake sale on August 16, 2018 to raise funds for relief work for the Kerala floods in India. This was held with the help of Round Square, an international students organisation.

The drive saw large participation from students and teachers. The proceeds of this sale was handed over to Mr Sunil Kattakath, Convenor, School Management Committee for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Kerala.

According to Indian media reports, more than 70 people have now been killed in what is being called the worst flooding situation in a century in the South Indian state of Kerala. Kochi Airport earlier announced that it has halted operations until Saturday, August 18.
