No Omanis called for rescue from Kerala: Embassy in India

Muscat: Officials from Oman's embassy in New Delhi, India have confirmed they have not received any calls from Omani tourists in Kerala asking for evacuation, with more than half of the state's 14 districts being put on high alert because of floods.
An official from the embassy in New Delhi India said: "The Omani Consulate in India has not received any communication from Omanis tourist in India to evacuate them from areas that affected by floods."
"The embassy delegates are everywhere and we are ready to help anyone who in need. We usually receive calls from Omanis who travel to India and we help them whether in hospitals or airports or in any other situation," the official added.
Abdu Alnasser Abdullah, an Omani citizen who is currently visiting Kerala, told the Times of Oman, "We are in a hotel in Kochi city. In Kerala, the weather condition is [very bad with] heavy rains, but the floods are far away from us," adding that all roads to tourist spots in state have been closed.
