Here are the fort timings during Eid holidays in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Tourism has announced the official opening hours for various forts and castles around the Sultanate during official holidays.

Government and private sector employees have received three-day Eid holidays, starting from Tuesday, June 4 to Thursday, June 6.

The ministry revealed the opening hours of forts and castle throughout the year and specified that during Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, all forts will be opened from the second day of Eid.

The opening hours for forts in the Governorate of Muscat are as follows:

Muttrah Fort will be open from Saturday to Thursday, from 09.00 am to 4.00 pm, and Friday from 09.00 am to 11.00 am then from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Visiting hours at the Quriyat Fort and the Bait Al Maqham will be - Sunday to Thursday from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and during the month of Ramadan, from 09.00 am to 2.00 pm. The two forts are closed on Friday and Saturday.

On the other hand, the opening hours for Taqa, Mirba, Sadah and Kyut Hamran forts in the governorate of Dhofar are from 09.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 09.00 am to 11.00 am then from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

The Qazah, Liwa, Saham, Su Al Hilal, Maqabsha, and Al Tharmad Forts in the Governorate of Northern Batinah will be open to visitors on Sunday to Thursday from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and during the month of Ramadan, from 09.00 am to 2.00 pm. The forts will remain closed on Friday and Saturday.

The visiting hours for Rustaq, Makhal and Al Hazm Forts in Southern batinah will be from 09.00 am to 4.00 pm from Saturday to Thursday, and on Friday from 09.00 am to 11.00 am then from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Also, working hours for the Bait al Nuaman, Musannah, and Al Awabi Forts will be on Sunday to Thursday from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and during the month of Ramadan, from 09.00 am to 2.00 pm. The forts will be closed on Friday and Saturday.

For A’Dhakliyah's forts and castles, the ministry announced that the Nizwa Fort, which is run by the private sector, will remain open from 08.00 am to 8.00 pm from Saturday to Thursday, while on Friday it will be remain open from 8.00 am to 11.00 am then from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

On the other hand, the Samail, Bait al Sarooj, Al Fiqayn, Bahla and Jebreen Forts will all remain open from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm on Sunday to Thursday and 8.00 am to 11.00 am on Friday.

Forts in Southern Sharqiyah such as the Jalan Bani Bu Hasan, Al Ayjah, Bilad Sur, and Al Snisla will be open for the public from Saturday to Thursday from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and during the month of Ramadan from 09.00 am to 2.00 pm, and on Friday from 07.30 am to 11.30 am.

Northern Sharqiyah fort timings will be from Sunday to Thursday 07.30 am to 2.30 pm for Al Yahmadi, Bait Al Khabib and Al Rawdah forts. The forts will be closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Visiting hours for the Khasab, Bukha, and Al Khamzarah fort in Musandam will be from 09.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays to Thursday, and 08.00 am to 11.00 am on Fridays. On the other hand, visitors to Diba fort in Musandam should know that the fort will be open from 07.30 am to 2.30 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

Working hours at Al Mamor, Ibri and Bait Al Marah forts in the Governorates of A'Dhahirah will be from Sunday to Thursday 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and 09.00 am to 2.00 pm during Ramadan. The forts will remain closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Lastly, guests who would like to see forts such as Al Khandaq, Bait Al Nid, Al Hila and Al Marjab forts in Al Buraimi may do so from Sunday to Thursday 07.30 am to 2.30 pm, and 09.00 am to 2.00 pm during Ramadan. The forts will be closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
