Ministry of Education outlines 2nd edition of Omani Teacher’s Educational Excellence Award

Muscat: The Ministry of Education on Monday outlined details of the second edition of Omani Teacher’s Educational Excellence Award, which is dedicated every two academic years to outstanding teachers in government schools. The award is given out in appreciation for teachers’ efforts made to develop different educational domains.

Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Education Ministry’s Undersecretary for Education, Chairman of the Award’s Supervisory Committee, said in a speech that the award, in its first edition, saw a large turnout of participants and that the committee decided to repeat the experience as a measure to encourage teachers to be innovative and proficient and highlight their roles in developing students’ skills and promote partnership in extracurricular activities.

The Undersecretary added that the second edition of the award will be more advanced, since it benefits from efforts to address challenges to introduce many improvements.
