Majan Opticals win Ramadan Nights table tennis title

Muscat: Majan Opticals took the top honours in the inaugural Ramadan Nights Table Tennis Tournament organised at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) on Saturday night.
Majan Opticals team, comprising Asad Al Raisi and Adnan Fawkharji, emerged the champions after defeating Egypt Embassy 3-1.
Muscat Table Tennis Academy’s A and B teams finished third and fourth places respectively after two stages championship that featured 42 teams representing different government units and private sector companies.
Oman Table Tennis Committee (OTTC) chief Abdullah Ba Mukhalif presided over the final proceedings and handed over the prizes in the presence OTTC members.
Earlier, Majan Opticals reached to the final after defeating Muscat Table Tennis Academy B team 4-2 in the semifinal while Egypt Embassy advanced with a 3-1 win over Muscat Table Tennis Academy A team.
“Ramadan Table Tennis Tournament registered 42 teams in its first edition. We hope to have more teams in the coming editions of tournament,” Abdullah Ba Mukhalif said.
