PACDA responds to 102 calls in past two days

Salalah: The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) received 56 calls which were all dealt with by the rescue and search teams, as well as ambulance.
It handled 102 calls during the last two days of the tropical condition affecting the Governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar. PACDA Operation Center received 44 notifications about the persons being trapped in their vehicles, 4 calls about requesting ambulance services for patients who were either provided with emergency treatment or transferred to health institutions.
PACDA Operation Centre also received notifications for 6 fire incidents, in addition to notifications requesting discharge of water from buildings.
Although the number of notifications decreased by 46 compared to the first day of the tropical condition, PACDA urges on everyone to take necessary preventive and precautionary measures in such conditions.
They shall remain cautious, especially while dealing with wadis and water collection areas as rain continues to fall and electricity supply service is interrupted in some areas.
