PACDA receives 90 calls for help

The operations centre at the Public Authority of Civil Defence and Ambulance received 90 calls during heavy rain.
The calls received were for rescue during the low depression witnessed by the Sultanate from May 19 to May 21.
Specialised teams including firefighters, water and land rescue teams, search and rescue teams and ambulance personnel dealt with these rescue calls.
North Sharqiyah registered the biggest number, which resulted in 19 rescue operations, followed by Muscat which recorded 17 rescue operations.
