Oman Air opens bookings for flights to Moscow

Muscat: Oman Air, national carrier of the Sultanate, has opened reservations for its daily flight from Muscat to Moscow scheduled from October 28.
The service to Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport will be operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8, offering 12 seats in Business Class and 150 in Economy. Flight WY181 will depart Muscat daily at 2pm, arriving in Moscow at 6.55pm local time. The return flight, WY182, will depart Moscow at 12.55am, arriving at the award-winning new passenger terminal at Muscat International Airport at 7.35am.
The airline said this would be the only non-stop flight between Oman and Russia, benefiting both business and leisure travellers, in addition to offering seamless connections via the Oman Air hub, Muscat International Airport, to destinations across the globe.
This new route will follow the launch of Oman Air flights to Istanbul and Casablanca in June and July respectively.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) had recently said citizens of Iran, Russia and China had been added to the list of nationalities that can enter the Sultanate on a tourist visa without a local sponsor.
Next month, Oman Air will also receive the first of its three 787-9 Dreamliners, which features a three-class configuration. Oman Air unveiled the new First Class Mini Suite of its Dreamliner 787-9 fleet on the opening day of the Arabian Travel Market 2018.
