Buckingham Palace is looking for a new social media manager

London: One social media savvy professional could be the next Digital Communications Officer of the British royal family, according to a new job listing on their official website.

"Working as part of a small team of digital media specialists, you'll create content for social networking and digital platforms, including our newly launched website, as well as researching and writing feature articles," the listing states.

"Whether you're covering a state visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you'll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences."

Applicants are required to have a degree-level education and experience managing websites as well as delivering successful digital communications and projects. Good photography skills are also a must as is the ability to produce live social media content.

The permanent role offers a salary package of around £30,000 and a post at Buckingham Palace, the listing states.

"With an eye to the future, you'll help hone and shape our digital communications through analytics, monitoring and exploring new technologies," it said.

"The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward."

The vacancy will close at 11:55 PM (GMT) on 22 May to apply.
