Ghedex, Trainex education and training exhibitions open

Muscat: Activities of the Global Higher Education Exhibition (Ghedex 2018) and the Training Exhibition (Trainex) began at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday.
The opening was held under the patronage of Her Highness Sayyeda Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation in Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
Now in their 19th and 17th editions respectively, Ghedex and Trainex are back to meet the demands of those looking for higher education or for skills-based, vocational qualifications to meet the ever-growing demand of employment in the Sultanate’s new economy. This year, a wealth of over 12 international education bodies and 150 universities, colleges, training institutes and related organisations are gathering to offer students and those looking for further education, the very best opportunities over the next three days.

Supported by both the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Manpower, this year’s events are hosting participants from the Sultanate and over 20 different countries namely the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Poland and Russia through to Cyprus, Northern Cyprus, Egypt, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and including India, Malaysia through to Australia and New Zealand.
All those attending will be able to see the very best and latest qualifications available to further their career aims. Some of the Sultanate’s leading companies will also be present to offer advice and guidance on their requirements for the workplace and the opportunities they are looking to provide in terms of internships and apprenticeships.
