A'Dhakiliyah Tourism department launches film competition

Muscat: The Department of Tourism in A'Dhakiliyah has launched a film competition for citizens who love capturing the beauty of Omani culture.

In an effort to encourage community involvement in the promotion of tourism, the Ministry is all set to organise a competition for the best tourist film for the province of A'Dhakiliyah.

Entries can be sent in between 15 April 2018 and 25 April, 2018. This competition aims at highlighting the richness of tourist sites Islamic architecture, and the history of the governance among other things.

Here are the rules of the competition:

· Participation is open to all Omani photographers including professionals and amateur videographers.

· Organisations and companies are not entitled to participate in this competition.

· The individual can include pictures, animation or time lapses in the film, provided that the content belongs to the participant.

· The film must be of high quality.

· The film must be submitted in MP4 format.

· The file size and format should be Full HD (1920x1080).

· The participant may not withdraw the film material from the competition once it has been submitted.

· The Organising Committee has the right to use the film (whether or not it wins the contest) at the closing ceremony of the competition.
