Four citizens arrested for robbery, impersonating police in Oman

Muscat: Four citizens were arrested for impersonating police officers and committing robbery in Muscat, announced the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

According to officials, the accused had committed nine different robberies in the capital.

In a statement online, ROP said, “Muscat Police arrested four citizens who had impersonated police officers and committed forced robberies in nine different cases in Muscat.”

After a thorough “search and investigation all the defendants were arrested and identified by the victims”. The suspects subsequently admitted to their crimes, said ROP.

The accused were then referred to judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
