It’s raining discounts on airline tickets in Oman

Muscat: Airlines in Oman are offering flights at discounted rates.

National carrier Oman Air has announced a 45 per cent discount on both economy and business class tickets.

The offer is applicable to ticket sales from March 1 to 7, 2018, and for the travel period from March 8 to June 30, 2018. All travel must be completed by the end of June.

Besides this, Oman Air is offering a 25 per cent discount for Omani students, under which additional baggage of 20kg is allowed. The offer is valid for an Omani student travelling between an educational institution and his/her home.

Beneficiaries have to carry a valid student ID card or an official letter from their educational institutions to avail of the offer.

Oman’s first low-cost carrier SalamAir has announced a two-day offer with flights to several destinations at discounted rates.

The special rates start from OMR21 and end at OMR51. As many as nine destinations have been covered under the scheme.

Flight tickets from Muscat to Salalah, Dubai and Karachi can be bought for OMR21. Tickets from Muscat to Multan, Sialkot, and the Iranian city of Shiraz are available for OMR31.

Tickets to the Saudi Arabian city of Taif, the new destination that SalamAir has added, will cost OMR51.
