Oman Cricket: Sunshine CT lift Young Challengers Cup

Muscat: Sunshine CT eased to a nine-wicket victory over Fahad Logistics to lift the Young Challengers Cup in the Republic Day of India Al Yam Cricket Cup at Al Gubrah Powerplan Ground on Friday.
In the final, Fahad Logistics batted first and were bowled out for 43 runs in eight overs with Hemal topscoring with 14. In reply, Sunshine achieved their target in fourth over for the loss of just one wicket. Bunty topscored with 19.
Indian Ambassador Indramani Pandey presided over the final day proceedings as the chief guest in the presence of guests of honour Aftab Patel, Managing Director of Al Omaniya Financial Services, Mohammed Hussain, Managing Director of Fahad Logistics, Arun Kumar Pandey, Managing Director of Al Yam Enterprises, and Uday Dhanani and Anil Jwader.
The individual awards went to Fahad Logistics’ Hemel (best batsman), Sunshine CT’s Rajesh K (best bowler), Fahad Logistics’ Zahir (best all-rounder), Sunshine CT’s Rajesh K (player of the final) and Bunty (player of the tournament).
The tournament, organised by Gulf Cricket Centre with support from Indian Social Club’s Bhojpuri Wing Oman, was sponsored by Al Yam Enterprises, Global Phone Technology, General Engineering Services, Grace Wood Trad. & Service, Oasis Water Company, Mass International (Schindler), Al Omaniya Financial Services, Bank Muscat, Malabar Gold Jewellery, Air India, Safari Technical Services, Mint Projects International, Fahad Logistics and Perfect International Engineering Services.
