CBD Challenger, Badr Al Samaa win in Al Yam Cricket Cup

Muscat: CBD Challenger and Badr Al Samaa recorded victories win in the Gulf Cricket Centre-organised Republic Day of India Al Yam Cricket Cup at Al Ghurah Powerplant Ground during the last weekend.
The tournament, being organised with support from Indian Social Club Bhojpuri Wing, comprises four competitions - Corporate Cup, Young Challengers Cup, Women’s Cup and Veterans Cup.
In the Young Challenger Cup, CBD Challenger defeated Nurson by four wickets.
After electing to field first, CBD Challenger restricted Nurson to 64 for six. For Nurson, Rafeeq with 24 runs was the topscorer. For CBD Challenger, Edvin took two wickets.
In reply, CBD Challenger achieved their target in the eight over, losing four wickets in the process. Tushar 26 runs was the topscorer. For Nurson, Rafeeq and Robin took two wickets each.
Rakesh Adlakha, Counsellor at Embassy of India, presented the man of the match award to Edvin of CBD Challeneger.
In the Corporate Cup, Badr Al Samaa defeated Mass International (Schindler) by seven runs.
Electing to bat first, Badr Al Samaa scored 60 for the loss of seven wickets with Shakeer contributing 18 runs. For Mass International, Bebin took four wickets including a hatrick.
In reply, Mass International were restricted to 53 runs. Kashif topscored with 11 runs. For Badr Al Samaa, Jubair took three wickets.

Bebin was declared man of the match and received his prize from Idris Solanki, Managing Director of Amaal Al Ghat Trading & Cont.
