Fahad Logistics, Badr Al Samaa win in Al Yam Cricket Cup

Muscat: Fahad Logistics and Badr Al Samaa recorded victories in the Gulf Cricket Centre-organised Republic Day of India Al Yam Cricket Cup at Al Ghurah Powerplant Ground during the last weekend.
The tournament, being organised with support from Indian Social Club Bhojpuri Wing, comprises four competitions - Corporate Cup, Young Challengers Cup, Women’s Cup and Veterens Cup.
In the Young Challengers Cup, Fahad Logistics defeated CBD Challenger by six runs.
After being asked to bat first, Fahad Logistics scored 67 for the loss of eight wickets with Himel topscoring with 30 runs. For CBD Challenger, Rasheed and Edvin took two wickets each.
In reply, CBD Challenger were restricted to 61 runs in eight overs. Tushar with 23 runs was the top scorer. For Fahad Logistics, Irshad bagged three wickets and Hemil took two.
Sanjay Tiwary, Managing Director of National Stones, presented the man of the match award to Himel.
In a Corporate Cup match, Badr Al Samaa recorded a six-wicket win over Mass International (Schindler).
After electing to bat first, Mass International scored 69 for the loss of two wickets. Arun with 43 runs was the topscorer. For Badr Al Samaa Jaleel took one wicket.
In reply, Badr Al Samaa achieved their target in seventh over, losing four wickets in the process. Shakeer was the topscorer with 23 runs. For Mass International, Mahesh took two wickets.

Nitin Sujanani, General Manager of Indian Social Club, presented the man of the match award to Jaleel of Badr Al Samaa.
Meanwhile, Spinneys team reached the final of the Corporate Cup. The final is scheduled to be played February 23.
