Oman Foreign Minister in Palestine for discussions

Jericho (Palestine):Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and his accompanying delegation arrived here, yesterday, on a visit to the State of Palestine, during which he will meet a number of senior Palestinian officials to discuss a number of current regional and international issues, mainly the developments of the Palestinian cause.
On arrival, Alawi was received by Majed Al Fityani, Governor of Jericho and Al Aghwar, and a number of Palestinian officials.
Governor of Jericho praised the leading role the Sultanate plays in the Arab World and the support extended to Palestinian issues, pointing out that the Sultanate is one of the few countries which did not get involved in the Palestinian internal affairs. He also praised the Sultanate for its support to the Palestinian cause.
In a statement to ONA, he said that the Palestinian side views the visit of Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs as vital and a significant visit which further cements the deep-rooted relations.
He said that the efforts of the Sultanate towards the Palestinian cause have received the appreciation of the Palestinians. He said that His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said is one of the international political personalities of appreciable presence who receives the respect of the international community.
