Muscat: Sunshine CT and Al Yam Enterprises recorded victories in the Gulf Cricket Centre-organised Republic Day of India Al Yam Cricket Cup at Al Ghurah Powerplant Ground during the last weekend.

In the third match of the Young Challengers Cup, Sunshine CT bowled out MPI for 52 with Achelal topsocoring with 23 runs. For Sunshine, Rajesh K and Rajesh L claimed two wickets each.

In reply, Sunshine achieved the target in the fourth over. with Bunty scoring an unbeaten 38.

Bunty deservedly won the man of the match award, which was presented by the Gulf Cricket Centre head coach Irshad Ahmed Siddiqui.

In the fourth match of the Young Challengers Cup, Al Yam Enterprises, after being asked to bat first by MPI, scored 98 runs for the loss of six wickets in eight overs. Sanjit Kanojia topscored with 47 runs. For MPI, Farook claimed two wickets.

In reply, MPI were bundled out for 18 runs with Sanjeev Bhandari and Pankaj Gupta claiming four and two wickets respectively for Al Yam Enterprises.

Mohammed Hussain, Managing Director of Fahad Logistics, presented the man of the match award to Sanjit Kanojia.
