Expats arrested over drug smuggling attempt in Oman

Muscat: Two bags carrying more than 3,500 psychotropic tablets were seized at the Muscat International Airport.

In two separate cases, the Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances arrested "two Asian nationals as they attempted to smuggle psychotropic tablets to the Sultanate via Muscat International Airport," Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

They further added, "One of the bags was seized with 3,397 tablets."
