GCC all set to host Al Yam Cricket Cup

Muscat: The Gulf Cricket Centre (GCC) is all set to organise the Republic Day of India Al Yam Cricket Cup at Al Ghurah Powerplant Ground from Friday.

The tournament, being organised with support from Indian Social Club Bhojpuri Wing, will take place on three Fridays - February 9, 16 and 23.

This year’s tournament will comprise four competitions - Corporate Cup, Young Challengers Cup, Women’s Cup and Veterens Cup.

The Corporate Cup has attracted four teams - Badr Al Samaa Hospitals, Mars International, Genserve and Spinneys.

The teams competing in the Young Challengers Cup will be Al Yam Enterprises, Sunshine, Barka Bros, Fahd Logistics, Noor & Sons, Mint Projects XI.

In the Women’s Cup teams that will vying for top honours are Al Yam Women’s Team, Indian Social Club, Gulf Cricket Centre and Rising Stars.

The Rest of Indians Blue XI and GCC Red will compete in Veterans Cup.

The tournament will be sponsored by Al Yam Enterprises, Global Phone Technology, General Engineering Services, Grace Wood Trad. & Service, Oasis Water Company, Mass International, Al Omaniya Financial Services, Bank Muscat, Malabar Gold Jewellery, Air India, Safari Technical Services, Mint Projects International and Fahad Logistics.
