Health minister meets Palestinian delegation

Muscat: Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health received in his office Dr. Sabri Mamdoh Sidam, Minister of Education and Higher Education in the State of Palestine and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed matters of common concern between the two countries in the field of health, most importantly health education and training in the different medical specialities.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sabri Mamdoh Saidam, Dr. Abullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Ahmed Abbas Ramadan, Palestine’s ambassador visited Sultan Qaboos University yesterday.
He was received by Prof. Ali bin Huwaishal Al Shuaili, SQU Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative & Financial Affairs in the presence of Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies & Research and Prof. Amer Ali Al-Rawas, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Community Service.
The Palestinian delegation consisted of Dr. Ihab Qabak, Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education, Dr. Sami Pasha, Head of Accreditation and Quality Authority and Raed Barakat, Director General of University Education.
The two sides discussed topics related to higher education and research. In addition, they explored cooperation between SQU and Palestinian higher education institutions.
