Pilots, officers of  Royal Air Force of Oman graduate

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) celebrated the graduation of pilots and officers in a ceremony at the Ghala Air Base and Sultan Qaboos Air Academy yesterday.
The function was held under the auspices of Lt.Gen Sayyid Munthir bin Majid Al Said, Head of Liaison and Coordination Apparatus at the Royal Office.
The graduation ceremony began with the military salute to the chief guest while the RAFO Music Band played the Royal Anthem. The chief guest inspected the front column of graduates. Then, the graduates advanced slowly passing before the main dais. Lt.Gen Al Busaidi pinned flying wing on graduated pilots. He also handed over the Sword of Honour to the Flying Officer Ibrahim bin Salim Al Subhi, who came first in the officer cadets course.
The graduation ceremony was attended by ministers, commanders at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and other military and security units, honourable members of the State Council and members of the Majlis Al Shura, senior officers at SAF and other security units in the state, retired commanders and senior officers, military attaches of friendly countries’ embassies, RAFO personnel and parents of the
graduates.

Air Vice Marshal Mattar bin Ali Al Obaidani, Commander of Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) handed over Diploma certificates of Military Sciences for the officer cadets at the Sultan Qaboos Air Academy, on the occasion of the RAFO celebrating the graduation of new batch of pilots and officer cadets.
