10 Omani women who will be featured in season one of HerStory were also honoured at the event

Muscat: The official launch of HerStory, Oman’s first online women based talk show presented by The Arabian Stories was held at Grand Hyatt Muscat in the presence of high-ranking officials and 400-odd audience.

Through HerStory, The Arabian Stories (TAS) will feature some of the most inspiring Omani women who have made a mark in the country. The stories of strong, independent Omani women carving their own paths, writing their life stories and inspiring other women to be who they are. 10 inspiring Omani women who will be featured in season one of HerStory was unveiled at the launch.

Her Highness Sayyida Basma Al Said, founder of Whispers of Serenity, Amal Al Raisi, fashion designer, Loaya Al Mamaari, Founder of Mint and Coco, Maha AL Balushi, pilot, Dr. Amal Al Hashmi, first adult female neurologist, Dr. Lamya Al Haj, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University, Radhika Hamlai, artist, Fatma Al Nabhani, tennis star, Safiya Al Bahlani, artist and Ibtihal Al Zadjali, renowned media personality will be featured in each episodes of HerStory that will be soon aired across all digital platforms of The Arabian Stories.

Her Highness Sayyida Mayya Al Said, patron and host of HerStory welcomed the audience. Sayyida Mayya Al Said also moderated the two panels comprising of the 10 women who is part of HerStory. The panel talk was an inspiring session for the people who came to witness the launch of HerStory. “In today’s times when we talk about equal rights for women, HerStory is important. There are hundreds of women who would want to become like those whom we are featuring and through HerStory, we are trying to give a platform to people to get inspired and motivated to be successful,” said Nishad Padiyarath, Executive Director of The Arabian Stories.

Muna Al Riyami was the host of the evening. The 10 women were also honoured at the event.



Her Highness Sayyida Basma Al Said received the Change Maker award, Loaya Al Mamaari won the Business Woman award, Maha Al Balushi was honoured with Rising Star award, Ibtihal Al Zadhali received Media Personality award, Fatma Al Nabhani won Sports Woman award, Safiya Al Bahlani received Inspiring Woman award, Radhika Hamlai won the Creative Woman award, Amal Al Raisi is HerStory’s Fashion Icon, Dr. Amal Al Hashmi won Women Leader in Health Care award and Dr. Lamya Al Haj won Woman in Science award.

HerStory’s official launch was held in association with Markaz Al Bahja. Grand Hyatt Muscat was the hospitality partner while Al Bawwab Textiles were the silver partner and Muscat Pharmacy was the gift sponsor. Fahad Express was the travel partner. The event was managed by Orbit Events. Times of Oman was the exclusive media partner.
