Oman's National Defence College marks 5th anniversary

Muscat: The National Defence College (NDC) on Tuesday marked its annual day, which falls on 8th January each year, as it is hosting the fifth batch.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Mohammed bin Nasser Al Rasbi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence.
The ceremony was attended by Maj. Gen. Salim bin Musallam Qatan, NDC Commandant.
The Steel Band of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and the Arabian Band of Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), Marine Arts Band of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and the Drums Band of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) presented a collection of musical and song performances, in addition to Omani folklore and traditional arts.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence honoured those who completed their term in the College in recognition of their efforts exerted during their tenure at the NDC.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), RAO Commander, RAFO Commander, RNO Commander, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, Secretary General of the National Security Council, undersecretaries, senior officers at SAF and other military and security forces, academics from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), NDC graduates from previous batches, current batch's participants and the College's teaching staff.
