Oman's share index ends lower

Muscat: The MSM30 index ended lower and closed at 3,901.13 points, down by 0.11 per cent. The MSM Sharia Index also ended lower by 0.06 per cent at 527.02 points.
Muscat Finance was the most active in terms of volume while Renaissance Services was the most active in terms of turnover for the day. Renaissance Services, up 3.78 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was Muscat Finance, which lost 3.08 per cent.
A total number of 417 trades were executed during the day's trading session generating turnover of OMR1.55 million with more than 11.13 million shares changing hands. Out of 27 traded stocks, 6 advanced, 7 declined and 14 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreigner investors were net buyers for OMR117,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR67,000 followed by Omani investors for OMR50,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index decreased 0.02 per cent to end at 6,351.72 points. Al Anwar Holding and National Bank Of Oman were up by 2.11 per cent and 0.62 per cent respectively. Muscat Finance, United Finance and Bank Dhofar declined 3.08 per cent, 2.67 per cent and 1.44 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 4,585.52 points, up by 0.13 per cent. Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles and Raysut Cement were up by 2 per cent and 0.65 per cent respectively. Galfar Engineering and Oman Cement lost 1.23 per cent and 0.83 per cent respectively.
