Kuwait Prime Minister visits injured Oman fans after Gulf Cup barrier collapse

Kuwait City: Omani football fans who were injured in the final of the Arab Gulf Cup had a special hospital visitor today - Sheikh Jaber Al Hamad Al Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait.
Kuwait’s Emir, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, had previously decreed that the fans who were injured in the stadium collapse would be provided the best treatment his country could afford.
“The Emir of Kuwait orders to provide all necessary assistance to the injured in the event of Jaber Stadium,” announced Oman TV this evening. “The Sultanate's ambassador in Kuwait confirms that some of the Omanis injured in the accident at Jaber Stadium left the hospital and the rest will leave in the coming days.”
Oman’s Majlis Al Shura added, “His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Hamad Al Sabah visited the injured after the collapse of the glass barrier on the Omani audience at the 23rd Gulf Cup.”
Oman beat the UAE 5-4 on penalties at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on Friday, their second triumph since they won it on home soil in 2009.
