Kuala Lumpur: A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck 33 km north-west of Bulolo in the South Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake, which occurred at 7:19am local time, was initially determined to be 6.977 degrees south latitude and 146.440 degrees east longitude at a depth of 126.9 km.
No Tsunami warning has been issued at this time.
