Female inspectors to check beauty centres

Muscat: A team of 17 female inspectors has been sent by Muscat Municipality to inspect beauty centres during the month of Ramadan.

According to authorities, the team will ensure that the beauty parlours are ready to receive a wave of customers in the period just before Eid.

The month-long awareness campaign by Muscat Municipality will ensure that hairdressers and beauty centres follow provisions of municipal law.

In a statement, the municipality said, "The campaign is intended to educate owners of hairdressing and beauty centers on the sanitary conditions when offering such services, and to ensure the application of necessary health requirements."
