Sayyid Fahd holds talks with Hollande

Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Wednesday received François Gérard Hollande former president of the French Republic who is currently visiting the Sultanate.
After Sayyid Fahd welcomed the guest, the meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing the existing cooperation between them.
The meeting also touched on a number of regional and international developments.
On his part, the former French president expressed his thanks and appreciation for His Majest the Sultan for enhancing the bilateral friendly relations and wished His Majesty success in the comprehensive development processes being witnessed by the Sultanate under His Majesty’s leadership.
He also hailed the Sultanate’s role in addressing regional and international issues.
The meeting was attended by a number of their highness, public officials, Sheikh Humaid bin Ali Al Maani, Head of the International Affairs at the Foreign Ministry and Renaud Salins, the appointed Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate.
Sayyid Fahd hosted a luncheon in honour of Hollande.
