In pictures: Omani photographic exhibition winners announced

Muscat: More than 80 photographers presented 1,367 photographs at the 24th Annual Omani Photographic Society Exhibition.
The annual exhibition this year centres on themes of people and life and the winners were announced yesterday. Arwa Al Thuhli won the first prize.

Haitham Al Shanfri win the second prize and Waheed Al Fazari came in third place.
Haitham Al Farsi won frist prize for " Life in Nizwa" photo, Hamed Al Ghanboosi won the second prize for Happiness photo and third prize went to Sulaiman Al Ghaithi for 'Dream'.

The exhibition aims to encourage competition between photographers and show the creativity in the professional art.
An international jury was created with photographers Giulio Montini from Italy, Yusef bin Abdullah Al Masoud from Saudi Arabia and Ahmed Al Touqi from the Sultanate.
The management of the association has allocated seven prizes for each section of the competition.
The 24th Annual Omani Photographic Society Exhibition will continue until January 18, 2018 at the Omani Society for Photography, the exhibition opining time is from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
