Dense fog in Oman will stay for couple of days

Muscat: Residents woke up on Monday to find a blanket of fog across the country, reducing visibility on roads.
The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre said that the morning fog brought visibility down to less than 1,000 metres in some places in the Sultanate.
The fog will remain for the next two days in the Sultanate, according to the centre and will start to clear from Wednesday. Motorists have been urged to drive safely in the foggy conditions prevailing in Muscat, and North and South Batinah, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
In its 24-hour outlook, the centre said there will be mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate, with a chance of low-level clouds or fog patches over parts of Oman Sea coastal areas, and over AlBuraimi, Al Dahira and Al Wusta Governorates.
On Sunday, several flights were diverted to Muscat due to heavy fog in the United Arab Emirates.
