Police arrest 32 expats for breaking labour laws

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has taken into custody 32 expats for breaking various laws. The arrests were made in Wilayat Bida, according to the ROP.

In a statement, the ROP said, "The Northern Sharqiyah police command carried out a campaign to arrest expats working in Wilayat Bida, as a result, 32 Asian nationals were arrested for violating labour and resident laws."

Legal proceedings are currently underway against the workers, the ROP said.
