Test your limits at the X Spartan Race this weekend

Muscat: The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with Shad United Company is organizing the X Spartan Race on September 24th. The worldwide sports event will take place in Jabal Al Sifah in the Muscat Governorate.

The event gathers thousands of adventure seekers to test their physical potential from Oman and abroad, in a day that is filled with challenge and excitement.

The race is divided into three levels to suit amateurs, as well as professionals, and includes: Spartan Super that is 13 kms long, and is the longest and hardest race with 25 challenges. The Spartan Sprint, that stretches over 5 kms and suits athletes of all levels. Despite being the shortest race, it has over 20 obstacles of mud, fire, walls and barbed wires.

The third level has been conceptualised for children belonging to the age-group 4 to 15, and includes activities such as jumping, running, and playing in the mud for 1.5 km. The Spartan Kids race aims to motivate children, and help them acquire self-esteem as well as helps them to have fun while working out.
