Six members elected to Majlis Al Shura office

Muscat: Six members were elected to the Office of Majlis Al Shura according to the article (48) of the Majlis.
There were 14 candidates for six seats and the elected members are; Abdullah bin Ali Al Mamary (62 votes), Mohamed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi ( 55 votes), Ahmed bin Saif Al Barwani (49 votes), Mohammed bin Said Al Hajri ( 41 votes); Sultan bin Majid Al Abri (39 votes) and Taher bin Mabkhout Al Jenaibi ( 38 votes).
Majlis Al Shura held yesterday its 3rd annual meeting 2017/2018 for the 8th term 2015/2019, in response to the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and in accordance with the provisions of the State Basic Law.
The meeting was chaired by Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of the Majlis Al Shura who declared the opening of the first regular sitting for the third annual meeting.
The election of the six members completes the total vacant seats of the Majlis Al Shura.
