Muscat: ahlibank, one of the most popular and preferred banks in the Sultanate, in association with Burjeel Hospital Muscat, conducted a health screening camp for all ahlibank employees on recently at its main branch in Al Khuwair.
This camp was dedicated to educating the staff of ahlibank on how to detect early and take preventive measures to prevent health diseases.
“We believe our strength is in our workforce and it is our duty to ensure that they remain in the best of their health, whether physically,” said Lloyd Maddock, CEO of ahlibank. “Blood pressure is a common complaint amongst a lot of us these days and we decided it was important to raise awareness about this issue. It’s essential that we take measures to counter it before it strikes – that’s the word we wanted to spread among our people, so they could take the necessary precautions and inculcate it in their daily life.”
The camp was open to all employees who could come in and get a free checkup done. The health screening camp included taking a note of the height and weight of the employee to derive and check if their BMI was in acceptable level. This was followed by Central Blood Pressure (CBP) to check the blood pressure in the aorta near the heart and a Random Blood Sugar (RBS) test. Burjeel had their expert doctors to offer free consultation and guidance to all the employees who had any questions.
“We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Burjeel Hospital who supported us in this endeavour. Their team of professionals conducted the camp absolutely perfectly and helped our staff understand their own health better,” said Al Hamdani, deputy general manager Human Resource.
